Usually 2 trips a year are arranged, up until now we have gone in Jan/Feb and September/October but we are considering changing the September date to June for 2016.
The holidays consist of a 4 night 5 day break with Daish’s Holidays, the coach picks up from Highbridge Community Hall, and up until now as we have had sufficient numbers the coach only picks up our group so there is no travelling around taking half the day picking up others. The Hotels are all of a good standard and the price includes half board and entertainment every evening. The menu offers a good selection for choice of breakfast and there is a choice of 3 starters, main courses & sweets for evening meal. The inclusive cost of the holidays are very reasonable and vary from £95 in Jan to £220 in June or September. We can usually get 8 – 10 single rooms with a supplement of £10 but these are always in high demand so are usually book the moment we announce the holiday. Some Hotels have sea views with a supplement of £10 – £15 which is very reasonable.
We do not include day coach trips within the price as many of our members prefer to make their own itinerary and use the local bus services, however Daish’s offer daily coach trips from the hotels at an approximate cost of £8 per trip.
To date we have visited Isle of Wight, Eastbourne, Newquay & Weymouth.
